Inspired by one of the most romantic shows of the season, this intimate shoot cast more light on the beauty of this time period, with all of it’s colors, florals and decadent desserts.

For this period shoot, I did a lot of research into what were popular desserts at the time and then modernized them with seasonal ingredients and flavors to create an entire feel for the event with tastes to match the colors and romance…

Couples Cocktail ~ Blushing Violet

~ creme de violet, meyer lemon, violet essence, champagne, fresh violets ~

~ Riesling Poached Pears in a Blackberry, Lavender and Cognac Reduction, lightly tinted with edible gold

~ Black Currant and Champagne Creme filled Brioche brushed with Garden Rose and sprinkled with Pearl Sugar

~ Floral Parfaits ~ Layers of Blackberry & Lavender reduction, Creme de Violet Creme Patissiere, Cognac Chantilly and Earl Grey Madeleines

~ Wedding Cake ~ 2 Tiers of Lavender & Cream Chiffon Cake, filled with Blackberry & Lemon Curd and covered in an Almond French Buttercream colored with blackberry juice and Browned Butter & Thyme Madeleines
